Many people have contacted my office to talk about private tuition outside of school. Some are very positive about their child’s experiences in private tuition, while others feel uncertain about it. Some even feel pressure to put their children into private tuition. 

As we have looked into this issue, we have learned that there is not a good understanding of the private tuition industry. How many children participate? What are the costs? What are the benefits? 

The purpose of this survey is to add to our understanding of private tuition by learning from the experience of principals, teachers and parents.
