$3.6 MILLION TO UPGRADE BINALONG PARK FACILITIES

Andrew Charlton, the Federal Member for Parramatta, today announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver $3.6 million to upgrade Binalong Park in Old Toongabbie.

This election commitment will boost local sport by helping Pendle Hill Football Club, and the other clubs that call Binalong Park home, to get more people, especially women and girls, involved in community football and other activities.

It will include upgrades to lighting, fencing, groundwork and other important improvements to changerooms and other facilities.

This builds on Labor’s strong track record of supporting grassroots sport and upgrading local parks across the Parramatta electorate.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.

Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Parramatta, Andrew Charlton MP:

“I’ve spent time with the Pendle Hill Football Club – and let me tell you, they’ve got heart. What they need now is a field that matches their spirit.

“This upgrade will mean a better experience for every kid, parent and volunteer who turns up week in, week out.

“Only a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will back clubs like Pendle Hill with the facilities they deserve.”
